Thanksgiving is taking place on Monday, October 14th this year, and the weather is quickly starting to reflect that. As the rain begins to pour, the leaves start to fall, and the smell of pumpkin spice begins to drift through the streets of Mississauga, you know that fall is officially here and it’s time to get ready for Thanksgiving.

When it comes to where to buy your meats, veggies, and the things you can do on Thanksgiving Day, we have you covered. And today we’re back to tell you about what’s open in the city on the 14th, and some of what’s closed, so that you can plan accordingly.

Naturally, we’re not going to list every single business that’s open or closed on Thanksgiving Day, but we are going to list a few of the major ones that you’d like to know about. So let’s not waste anymore time and get down to the list.

It’s worth mentioning that GO and Mississauga Transit will both be operating on holiday schedules on the 14th, so keep that in mind when planning your journeys. And that’s it for our quick list of what’s open and a few businesses that are closed. Hopefully this helps you in some way. Have fun and have a great Thanksgiving!
