Port Credit is a hot spot for people from all over Mississauga to spend an evening drinking, dancing, and having some fun. That’s because Port Credit has a myriad of bars and restaurants to pick and choose between, each with their own identity and style.
However, every now and again, it’s good to change things up, do something a little different, and spend a few hours giving back. And that’s what we’re here to tell you about today. This Sunday evening, Starbucks will be working in conjunction with The Compass Food Bank and Outreach Group to host an open mic night. Here’s a little about the event by the organisers.
Join us for the launch of our charity open mic Sunday December 29th and every other following Sunday at Starbucks (Port Credit) from 4pm-6pm.
Coffee & Chords and Starbucks are teaming up to support The Compass Food Bank and Outreach Group. We encourage performers and guests to bring non-perishable goods and toiletries to the event which will all be donated to The Compass.
Coffee and Chords, as it is being affectionately known, will happen at the Port Credit Starbucks, located just across the road from the iconic town lighthouse on Lakeshore Road. It’s always a buzzing Starbucks location anyway, so an open mic night should be total blast. Whether you want to get up there yourself and show off some hidden talents, or you just want to hang out and enjoy some live entertainment, we guarantee it will be a good time and will go a long way to helping those less fortunate.
With the weather rather dreary right now, spending an evening in Starbucks with a hot chocolate, tea, or coffee while listening to some comedians, singers, or poets, sounds pretty darn cozy to us. And it’s all for a good cause to boot. See you there!
