On Saturday, October 27th you will find witches, ghosts, ghouls around town for Streetsville’s 11th annual Spooktacular event!

From 2:00-4:00 pm bring out your costume-clad kids to enjoy a range of activities like haunting crafts, games, and entertainment at the Vic Johnston Community Centre (335 Church Street). Children will be captivated by spooky tales by the Streetsville Library, Move and Groove with Ontario Early Years to some sweet Halloween tunes, decorate their very own loot bag (which will be filled with goodies later on), and much more!

Complimentary loot bags will be handed out to the first 300 children, so it’s recommended that families get there early! Additionally, the Streetsville BIA kindly asks that event-goers bring a non-perishable food item for the Eden Community Food Bank. Let’s work together to feed our hungry neighbors!

Pumpkin Parade

On November 1st, from 6:30-8:30 pm, let those beautiful pumpkins have one last moment in the spotlight – bring your best carved creations down to the Streetsville Village Square for the annual Pumpkin Parade!

Pumpkins will be lit around 7:00 pm, allowing for the full effect as you walk the line of jack-o-lanterns and ogle the talent of your fellow Streetsvillians! The public will judge the pumpkins for creativity and the most original creation will win a prize (and, of course, bragging rights for those amazing carving skills)!

No need to worry about how you’ll dispose of your pumpkins – they will be collected and composted by the city after this family fun event!
