It’s celebration time at the 21st Annual Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festival in Port Credit’s Memorial Park, September 6th to 8th. As part of the 20 Canadian and International Bands on our two ticketed stages, come celebrate The Legendary Downchild Blues Band’s 50th Anniversary Party, get your Hippie on as we pay tribute to Woodstock; a 50 year celebration of peace and music, celebrate Our Ladies Sing the Blues presented by The Conspiracy to Promote Artist and so much more!
50 years ago, Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon and uttered the words “That’s one small step for man. One giant leap for mankind.” Well at the Shuffle you can step, walk, leap and shuffle to a plethora of FREE entertainment! On Saturday, there will be dancing in the streets to 20 bands at the popular Rabba Fine Foods Free Street Shuffle from noon to 4:00 pm. At 4:00 pm join Dinny’s Dixieland All-Star’s Second Line. We will march to Memorial Park where the music, food and fun continues with our fully licensed two free stages, where you’ll “flip, flop and fly” to 25 “over the moon” performances! Enjoy fabulous food and the Artisan Market at our Vendor Village. Come with the family and visit the new ‘Kid’s Zone’ for face painting, kid’s tattoos, an Art Workshop for children and ice cream for kids big and small!
I would like to thank the City of Mississauga and the Village of Port Credit, the many Grants, Sponsors and all the wonderful Volunteers that make this festival such a huge success.
I look forward to seeing you all once again at Mississauga’s Musical Mardi Gras; The Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle.
There’s a party going on around here…It’s celebration time in our 21st year!
