Winter into summer always sees some stores bite the dust and new ones open in their wake. We’ve already seen Eva’s Original Chimney’s and Nomad’s open stores in Port Credit, and the town continues to expand and get new stores on the main street. The latest business to make its way into Port Credit, is a new poutine and wings store opening soon.

What used to be Hermanos Mexican Grill – a unique spot that served taco’s, three for $10 – will soon become Smokez Shack. There isn’t much known about the new eatery – the website listed on the storefront is currently blank – except that it will specialize in Philly cheesesteaks, wings and poutine. Classic finger food for causal dining.

It is a little ironic that the new joint is called Smokez and serves poutine, when the iconic Smokes Poutinerie is just a stones throw down the same street. Alas there can never be too much poutine I say, fingers crossed that this one is just as good or better!

Smokes Shack will serve delicious Philly cheesesteaks, making it the only place in Port Credit to do so. The Shack is expected to open in time for summer, alongside Eva’s Original Chimney’s, which is just two doors down. Here’s hoping it becomes a Port Credit mainstay.

Smokez Shack will be opening at 61 Lakeshore Road East, right in the heart of Port Credit. Come check it out this summer and grab yourself some wings or a Philly cheesesteak! We’ll keep you posted about an official opening when we hear about it.
