After a week off due to the always-fun BuskerFest in Port Credit, the Rotary Club returns to J.C. Saddington Park for another night of free entertainment.
And, hard as it may be to believe, this coming Friday actually marks the second to last week of free movies in Port Credit for the year. Yes it’s already been seven weeks and this is the penultimate week. So don’t waste this chance to have some family-fun for free on August 23rd.
The movie this coming Friday will be the live action remake of Dumbo. The Disney film is one of the most recent releases to be featured in the Rotary Club’s showcase this year, and it’s guaranteed to be a hit for all ages. Check out the trailer:
Dumbo is the live-action remake of the 1941 original, coming 78 years later. This new version of the classic features a star studded cast, including Colin Farrell (Alexander, Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, Phone Booth), Danny DeVito (Matilda, Twins, Hercules), Michael Keaton (Batman, Beetlejuice, Spider-Man: Homecoming), and Eva Green (Sin City, Casino Royale, The Dreamers).
Dumbo follows the adventures of a former star and his children, who are hired by a struggling circus to take care of their elephant, Dumbo. The family soon learn that Dumbo has the unbelievable ability to fly and he becomes the main attraction for the circus. Of course, Dumbo becomes a wanted commodity and the circus must keep him from the grasp of the rich.
Dumbo is a perfect film for the whole family, and everyone is invited to watch it, for free, in Port Credit’s J.C. Saddington Park this coming Friday. The movie will commence at sundown and be sure to bring a few foldable chairs or a blanket to sit on. The free movies in the park are almost over for the year, so be sure to come out for the last two and buy some popcorn. See you there!
