We’re halfway through the week and that means it’s once again time to talk about the latest movie happening in Port Credit this weekend.

Yes the Rotary Club is back in Port Credit on Friday, August 2nd, for another night of free entertainment. Last Friday night saw the Club showcase Ralph Breaks The Internet for a big crowd in J.C. Saddington Park. This coming Friday should be no different.

And that’s because the next movie being shown is The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. The movie continues the journey of every-man Emmet Brickowski as he battles alien invaders with his much more impressive friends. Check out the trailer below!

The original The Lego Movie released in 2014 and was a surprise to everyone. A surprise in that it was actually a really great movie for adults and children. The second movie is just more of the same as it brings back Emmet Brickowski, Wyldstyle, Batman, and more.

That means the original voice cast returns, along with some newcomers, rounding out a star-studded cast that includes Chris Pratt (Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy), Elizabeth Banks (Wet Hot American Summer, The Hunger Games), Will Arnett (Blades of Glory, Arrested Development), Alison Brie (GLOW, Get Hard), Nick Offerman (Parks & Rec, Fargo), and Will Ferrell (Anchorman, Daddy’s Home).

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part will be shown for free in Port Credit’s J.C. Saddington Park on Friday, August 2nd. The movie will commence at sundown, so probably around 8 PM. As usual, you don’t need to bring anything except for a picnic blanket or some foldable chairs. Get there early to ensure a good spot and buy some tasty popcorn from The Rotary Club. The movies in the park are a great event for families, couple, and everyone in between, so be sure to come out this Friday night for a fun free flick. See you there!
