It’s that time of week again when we inform you of the movie playing in Port Credit’s Memorial Park this Friday night.

Sadly, we only have three movies left of this years season, but that’s all the more reason to come out and enjoy the show! And this week’s movie is not one you will want to miss!

On Friday, August 10th, the Rotary Club will be showing Disney♦Pixar’s Coco! Check out the trailer below:

Coco tells a beautiful tale of a little boy (Miguel) in Mexico who wants to walk in the footsteps of the town’s iconic musician, Ernesto de la Cruz. Miguel’s family have banned all music because their great Grandfather walked-out on them to become a famous musician. Miguel inadvertently ends up in the Land of the Dead and must get the approval of his family to return to normal life and play his music. It’s a wonderful, charming story with great characters and stunning visuals.

Coco scored an incredible 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it won Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song at the Academy Awards. Coco was praised for having an all-Mexican voice cast, with talented actors like Benjamin Bratt, Edward James Olmos, and Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias. It’s a fantastic celebration of Mexican culture with catchy songs and a heart-warming plot that’s perfect for adults as well as children.

Coco will be shown in Port Credit around dusk, so you should try and be there for 8 to get a good position. Remember to bring snacks and a blanket or some chairs, and enjoy the show!
