Victoria Day – and Long Weekend – 2018 (Pep Rally at the Celebration Square)
Robot? Check. Dinosaurs? Check. Dinosaur Robots? Check. Confetti? Check. Music? Check. If you want it they’ve got it. Who? The Town of Mississauga. Those are just some of the amenities that the town will be providing for its residents – as well as visitors and those willing to commute – this Victoria Day weekend.
On the Monday (the final day of the long weekend) there will be a Pep Rally held at the Celebration Square which will include a Confetti Dance Party for those of all ages and the music will be provided DJ Andre 905 – who will not only be present – but will be spinning all day. Also, in the spirit of kicking summer off, MCS Robot & Russel T. Wrecks (a life size dinosaur and his two raptor friends) will be present as well.
ADDING TO THE FESTIVITIES
When you’re not dancing or listening to the sounds of DJ Andre you can engage in some physical activity as 25 foot prehistoric rock climbing wall will be provided for your entertainment. Other amenities include:
-a baby Dino petting zoo
-a fountain to play in (especially if the temperature is high on the particular day).
-Dino Excavation pits which are provided for you to dig around in (see what you’ll be able to find)
This event is an all ages one, parking is free and it is also accessible by public transit. There will be food trucks where they say you can “grab a Dino sized bite.” And an important note to those planning to attend the admission will not cost you anything, it’s free!
This Pep Rally is billed as an event “where prehistoric meets high tech – with a whole lot of confetti”. So don’t miss out.
