Last weekend, I kicked off my city-wide Holiday Food Drive in support of the Mississauga Food Bank. I’m challenging you to help feed your hungry neighbours this holiday season by participating in my #OneBagChallenge.
During the holidays we are aiming to raise $625,000 and 400,000 pounds of food by January 7, 2019.
Even in a City like Mississauga, many members of our community are struggling with hunger every day but each year, I am encouraged by the outpouring of generous community support for the citywide food drive and the One Bag Challenge.
As a City we care for our neighbours – I am confident we’ll rise to the challenge again this year and surpass our campaign goals
If this year’s goal is reached, it will bring the total amount raised through the Mayor’s food drive to over one million dollars and one million pounds of food!
You can take part in my #OneBagChallenge by:
1)Fill a bag with non-perishable food
2) Take a picture or video of your donation and post it on social using the hashtag #OneBagChallenge
3) Challenge 5 friends to do the same!
I know Mississauga is a City that cares.
Thanks again for your support.
