Square One’s long in-development western expansion is almost complete. The new Indigo book store is open for business, The Rec Room opens soon, and so does The Food District. We know a few of the restaurants coming to the new food court within the mall, and today we’re here to relay the news of another.

MidiCi is a Neapolitan pizza company that serves up incredible, authentic Italian pizza. Below is an image of one of MidiCi’s other restaurants, we don’t know if that’s what the Sqaure One location will look like but one half of that class would be a fantastic addition to the mall.

MidiCi Square One

MidiCi is a popular American company that already runs one restaurant in Mississauga, and the Square One location is to be its second. To get a little more information on what MidiCi offers, here’s word from the proverbial horse’s mouth:

“Our certified pizzaiolos (pizza makers) invite you to select fresh, natural, high quality, mostly non-GMO ingredients to create your ideal Neapolitan Pizza in the open, center-staged bustling kitchen, also known as “the heart”. We meet rigorous gastronomic rules to serve authentic Neapolitan Pizza famously known for its chewy, crisp dough and topped with all-natural ingredients. All baked to perfection in 90 seconds. Staying true to Neapolitan heritage, our dough is made with only four fine ingredients – non-GMO double zero flour imported from Naples, pure water, sea salt and live yeast. The authentic and pure garnishes include – crushed non-GMO Italian peeled tomatoes, fresh whole mozzarella and non-GMO, Italian extra virgin cold-pressed olive oil.”

MidiCi serves many types of pizza, including margherita, double pepperoni, Hawaiian, Egg n’ Bacon, chicken pesto, and gluten-free Neapolitan, among many others. Beyond pizzas however, there’s also salads, meatballs, meat boards, garlic bread, desserts, and lots more.

MidiCi is one of the many new restaurants arriving to Square One’s Food District. There’s no official opening date for the Food District just yet, but it’s due in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!
