Buffet restaurants are delightful but surprisingly few and far between. Mississauga is home to a few, like Continental Grand Buffet and Mandarin Restaurant, and a new one has just opened its doors to the public.

Daal Roti Indian Tadka House is an Indian and Asian buffet restaurant that now operates at 6990 Financial Drive, in the same plaza as Boston Pizza, Union Eatery and Booster Juice. The resident chef at the Tadka House has a long-history of working 5-star restaurants in India, before he “brought his passion for beautifully prepared, high-quality, haute Indian cuisine to Canada, and has received much praise for its elegant, spicy yet luscious flavors and presentation.”.

Daal Roti offers an incredible lunch-time buffet, with over 30 options, all of which are Halal. The lunch buffet operates Tuesday to Friday for $11.99, while on Saturday & Sunday it costs $13.99 – kids 3-5 get food for half price! The buffet menu is well worth a visit alone but, of course, Daal Roti also offers a full regular menu, as well as catering and private dining.

As mentioned, the buffet is not the entire menu, as Daal Roti also serves Tandoor SE, Korma, Masala, Makhani, Patiala, as well as appetizers, sides, naan, and rice dishes. A few highlights of the menu include chicken lababdar, fish curry, kofta masala, and the sizzling brownie for dessert. The menu is also extremely affordable, with no item over $20!

As some of you may already know, the 6990 Financial Drive location marks the second Daal Roti store in Mississauga. The first store is a popular restaurant at 25 Watline Avenue, Unit 16/17. The new location is upscale in terms of interior design but, as mentioned previously, very affordable. So, if Daal Roti’s mouth-watering Indian buffet sounds good to you, head on over to one of their Mississauga locations now!
