Sometimes businesses close down and good things come to an end. Such is life. However, as the paraphrased saying goes, when one restaurant closes, another opens.

A popular fine dining restaurant located in Lorne Park recently closed its door. Noble Bistro was the name and it had served the spot for a short while before shutting its doors. Well a brand new restaurant has just opened for business and it offers a distinctly different flavour of cuisine.

Jesters Gastropub has opened at 1107 Lorne Park Road, and it has transformed the spot into something of an upscale sports bar/restaurant. It has immediately established itself as one of the more unique openings of the year, thanks to its location in a fairly wealthy area of the city and its jovial interior design.

The purple and yellow colour palette is unique unto itself but the best part is the bathroom doors that have jesters and harlequins painted on them, kudos to the artist. It’s a great place for casual get-togethers, parties, or just watching the game.

So what can you find to eat at Jesters I hear you ask? The restaurant offers shareables like Nachos, Truffle Parmesan Fries, Buttermilk Fried Calamari, and Candied Bacon. There’s also wings, tacos, sliders, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and more things you’d expect from a pub. Main dishes include Smoked Chicken Rosé, Classic Mac ‘N Cheese, Fish ‘N’ Chips, and a Grilled Chicken Power Bowl. Jesters is also a fairly priced restaurant, meaning you can get a dish like any of those listed above for less than $20!

Jesters is the kind of restaurant that the Lorne Park area was really missing; something a little more laid-back and fun. We’re hoping this one is here to stay, so come try it for yourself! Jesters is open for business, and we’re not kidding!
