Mississauga is home to a mouth-watering array of foods from cultures the world over. Whether you’re in the mood for Greek, Italian, Japanese, Indian, British, American, or good old fashioned Canadian, Sauga has you covered. One culture that has been rather undeserved however, is Filipino cuisine.
In Mississauga you have a handful of Filipino restaurants, such as Berto’s, Somethin’ Sweet 4 U, Handaan Filipino Cuisine, FV Foods, and Carinderia, and a new one has just joined the fray. One that promises a casual experience, with authentic Filipino cuisine.
Little Manila Big Flavours has recently opened in Mississauga, at 900 Rathburn Road West. Already, the restaurant has an incredible 5-star rating on its Facebook page, 5-stars on Google, and 4.5 stars on Yelp – clearly, it’s doing something right.
Little Manila offers all-day breakfast, which includes longsilog, tapsilog, and lots more. Beyond that, there are a plethora of a la carte options that change on a daily basis, with foods you may expect like spring rolls, diced pork, calamari,
The dessert menu in the store is an exciting one, which serves up Halo-Halo (shaved ice and evaporated milk), Turon with ice cream, Kutchinta (steamed rice and caramel), Ube cupcakes (purple yam cupcakes), and more. The names may be weird to non-Filipino’s, but be sure to try out some of these delectable desserts!
Little Manila is open now to give you a taste of the Philippines! And, if you’re in need of a job, Little Manila is also hiring kitchen staff, both prep and chef assistant, with day shifts available. For more information call (289)-997-4337.
