One of the best places to go in Mississauga for an afternoon of unique fun is Benares Historic House, and it’s offering up a special day of fun this weekend!

The Historic House is located at 1507 Clarkson Road North, and it’s a beautiful heritage site that celebrates the history of Mississauga’s oldest village in fun ways each week. Benares House hosts events all the time that are for the whole family, and this coming Saturday is no different.

That’s because Benares House is hosting Mystery Tea, an event that ties together your love of mysteries and tea into one afternoon of drama, which you can read all about below:

An interactive experience not to be missed! The Museums of Mississauga welcome Live History to perform The Round Table, an immersive drama experience unfolding in the dining room at Benares. Guests will participate in solving this escape-room style mystery that includes historical details of the area. A High Tea will be served during the performance featuring a classic menu of finger sandwiches, scones and sweets.

The Round Table experience is rather new for Benares, and infuses the House’s traditional high tea with an escape room experience. If you’re a fan of murder mysteries and Downton Abbey, then this is 100% right up your alley!

The event takes place this Saturday, from 11 AM to 1 PM, and you are encouraged to don your best period wear to fit in with the experience. Everyone else will be dressed up, so don’t be shy and use it as an excuse to test our your upcoming Halloween costume!

Benares Historic House is a gorgeous location in Mississauga that is well worth a visit at the best of times, but throw in some delightful tea, some finger sandwiches, and a little murder mystery, and we’re reserving our spot today at 905-615-4860. See you there!
