Modern music isn’t very good, is it? It seems like a whole lot of noise with no soul. Whatever happened to the classics? The days when rock and roll wasn’t screaming, and you didn’t have to be naked to sell pop music? Well, those days may be long in the past, but that doesn’t mean they have to be fogotten. And that’s why, this Saturday November 10th, you can relive the glory days at Port Credit’s Royal Canadian Legion!

The Legion is hosting its annual Music To Remember dance night. It’s a party for all ages, who can appreciate some great music, great people, and a night to remember.

You’ll hear the biggest and best songs from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s, including the likes of Bing Crosby, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Johnny Mathis, Marvin Gaye, The Monkees, The Beatles, and, of course, Elvis Presley. The performances will come from George Lake Big Band, as well as Little Peter and the Elegants. The former is a brass band from Ontario, while the latter is more of a classic 50’s group, also from the GTA!

The party will start around 8 and swing until midnight, with plenty of drinking, dancing, and camaraderie. The Royal Canadian Legion is well known for its casual atmosphere and welcoming service, so don’t worry if you’ve never been before. For more details, check out the poster below!
