It’s hard to believe The Rec Room has only been a part of Mississauga since April, because it already feels like a part of the fabric. Since opening earlier this year, the entertainment complex within Square One Mall has become one of the most poplar go-to spots for people throughout the city.

There’s lots of reasons as to why The Rec Room is so popular, whether it’s the two restaurants, bowling, axe-throwing, virtual reality, ping pong, pool, redemption games, arcade games, and even karaoke. That’s a heck of a lot of entertainment that appeals to people of all ages, but it’s a special event that’s taking place this Tuesday that we’re discussing today.

Mississauga is quickly becoming a music city. This isn’t just a coincidence however, Mayor Bonnie Crombie stated her desire to ensure Mississauga becomes the next Nashville. And that plan began last year with the first-ever Mississauga Music Week; and now we’re delving into the second year of the program.

The second annual Mississauga Music Week kicks off with performances by Kendra Charest-French, David Boyd Janes & FXRRVST, host RandyCity will also announce the nominees for the upcoming Mississauga Music Awards 2019!

As mentioned above, there will be three musical acts at The Rec Room, Kendra Charest-French, David Boyd Janes & FXRRVST, the first of which will take the stage at 7:30 PM. And that’s only the beginning of Mississauga’s second annual Music Week.

After The Rec Room opens proceedings, there will be an open mic night at Cuchulainn’s Irish Pub in Streetsville, then various events at Celebration Square, Failte Irish Pub, and Metalworks Institute. The events run from Tuesday August 2nd, until Saturday August 10th.

And it all kicks off at The Rec Room on Tuesday night. The event is free for everyone and takes place at 7:30 PM. See you there music fans!
