It’s not just downtown Toronto getting in on the Raptors NBA championship series excitement. Mississauga will host Jurassic Park West for NBA Finals!

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment has given the cities of Mississauga and Brampton the go-ahead to open up their own versions of Jurassic Park — the frenzied fan zone outside Scotiabank Arena. Mississauga will open Jurassic Park West and Brampton will open Jurassic Square for NBA Finals.

Celebration Square (Jurassic Park West) has the capacity for 30,000 fans.  Mayor Bonnie Crombie is strongly encouraging fans in the west to put on their Raptors jerseys and cheer on the team surrounded by other fans.

Fans will be able to watch home and away games, beginning with Game 1 on Thursday night, at both locations throughout the finals as the Raptors take on the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors.

Tipoff for Game 1 is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. at Scotiabank Arena.
