We’re back with yet another summer fun event happening at, you guessed it, Mississauga’s awesome Celebration Square.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Celebration Square is the area right by the city centre library, a stones throw from Square One Mall. The area hosts events throughout the year but summer is when it really springs to life. And this year has been no different, with festivals and cultural events happening every other week. The next such event is taking place on August 24th and 25th:
Japan Festival CANADA 2019, the largest Japanese Cultural Festival in North America will proudly return to Mississauga Celebration Square this summer. Japan Festival CANADA 2019 is excited to continue introducing and bringing Japanese food, culture and technologies to Canada and to the world. This year marks the 90th Anniversary of Canadian Embassy being built in Japan; and we are celebrating further establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Canada and Japan. We are also anticipating celebrating this special milestone together with the large crowd during Japan Festival CANADA 2019.
That’s right the Japan Festival is back for another year of entertainment, live music, and great food in the city centre. Celebration Square hosts dozens of cultural events each year, as we alluded to, but the Japan Festival is always one of the biggest and the best.
There will be lucky draws with prizes to be won, including trips to Japan. On top of that there will be fifteen entertainment and musical acts, and lots of mouth-watering foods to try. It’s going to be a slice of heaven for Mississauga’s Asian community, and a day of fun and learning for everyone else.
The Japan Festival runs from 12PM to 10PM on Saturday the 24th, and from 11AM to 7PM on Sunday the 25th and is, of course, free for all. See you there!
