In need of some holiday cheer? Are you ready to dive head-first into the season and celebrate all things Christmas? Well, we have just the event for you, and it’s free!

Last year, Erin Mills Auto Centre decided to organise a Santa Claus Parade in the west of the city. That event turned out to be a massive success with over 25,000 people attending, including Mayor Bonnie Crombie.

So, the fine folk at Erin Mills Auto Centre have decided to make the parade a tradition! Yep, this coming Saturday, December 2nd, at 11 AM, you can witness the second year of the awesome Mississauga Santa Claus Parade!

The parade route is over a kilometre long, and begins at Dunwin Drive and Glen Erin Drive. The parade will move south along Glen Erin Drive, turn west on Motorway Boulevard, and finally north on Woodchester Drive. There will be road closures on Dunwin Drive, Woodchester Drive, Glen Erin Drive, and Motorway Boulevard, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. There will also be parking available on Dunwin Drive, east of Glen Erin Drive. However spaces may be limited, so consider taking public transport or getting there real early!

This years event will feature 15 floats and the organisers are expecting an even greater turnout, somewhere in the range of 30,000 people! Christmas is a magical time of year for the whole family, and there’s no better way to start the season, than with a good old fashioned parade. Whether you have kids or not, the Mississauga Santa Claus Parade is guarantied to be a blast! Enjoy the show!
