The fine folks over at Benares Historic House in Clarkson Mississauga are back with their first Christmas event of the year. And if you’re a fan of all things Christmas and history, you’re sure to love this one!

You may be familiar with the Downton Abbey tea that Benares House organises a few times a year, well now they’re hosting a Downton Abbey-style Christmas cooking experience! All the food and materials are included in the event price, which you can find at the very bottom. Check out the official event description below:

“Sip mulled cider as you prepare, cook and sit down to a Downton Abbey inspired Christmas dinner. There will be time to tour the historic house which will be seasonally decorated. Take the recipes home and recreate the meal for your family and friends.”

The Cooking Edwardian Christmas event will see you come, hopefully decked out in your best period wear, and join a fun and joyous cooking experience that introduces you to some classic Christmas recipes.

Obviously, the event is for those who enjoy themselves some high-quality dining, as well as the iconic Downton Abbey TV show. As a bonus, you’ll also be treated to a tour of the incredible Benares House after the meal. If you love period movies, Christmas and such, you’ll have an absolute blast at Benares House. But when does it take place I hear you ask?

The Cooking Edwardian Christmas event at Benares Historic House takes place on Saturday November 17th at 1 PM. If you’re interested in going, call to register at 905-615-4860, tickets costs $31.50 + $15 material fee. You can find the House at 1507 Clarkson Road North, and it may even be snowing then! Happy eating!
