It’s hard to believe it’s here already, but Canada Day has snuck-up on us once again! July 1 is a few days away and there are celebrations happening throughout the town, be it in Port Credit, Streetsville, or Celebration Square. One other place that will be throwing a big Canada Day bash is Malton, and you’re invited!

Malton’s big Canada Day celebration will be taking place at Westwood Square Mall, which can be found at 7205 Goreway Drive. Needless to say, the event takes place on July 1, with festivities starting at 2 PM, stage entertainment at 5 PM, and fireworks will commence at nightfall. It’s an entire day’s worth of celebrations, for free, and everyone is invited!

The event will see a plethora of fun activities for kids throughout the day, including a bouncy castle, a hot air balloon ride, electric train rides, and more. From 5 PM onwards, there will be live music and entertainment, including a brass band and an ABBA cover act. There will also be a variety of stalls and stores to grab some fun merchandise.

The festivities will then be capped-off by a fireworks display once nightfall occurs. The sun will set around 9 PM, which shouldn’t be too late for the kids to stay up and witness the sky light up, I mean it’s only once a year and it’s summer!

If you’re interested in helping out, Malton is looking for volunteers to help with the event. If you’re willing and able, head to this link and offer your services! Canada Day in Malton kicks-off at 2 PM on July 1st at Westwood Square Mall, and it’s free for all! There will be events throughout the city and Malton will be well worth a visit.
