Lady and gentlemen, it’s so exciting to be able to talk about summer again!
Sure, it may be a little soon, seeing as spring just started, but summer is right around the corner and Mississauga is gearing-up for another amazing season of events and fun. One such great event that takes place every year is the Summer Concert Series in Port Credit and Streetsville. While the event is a few months away, they’re currently looking for talent to take part:
The City of Mississauga presents a Summer Concert Series at Port Credit Memorial Park and Streetsville Village Square during the months of July and August. There are 15 concert dates available between the two locations. Payment is per performance regardless of the number of artists in the band. This opportunity is open to Mississauga-based musicians. A non-Mississauga group will be considered if they are working with a Mississauga based organization. Musicians performing original work, cover artists, emerging and established groups are all welcome.
If you want to take part in the Summer Concert Series, you can apply with your group here. If you take part, it will be an incredibly fun summer of playing music with friends for appreciative people. On the plus side, it will be a great thing to add to your résumé.
The Summer Concert Series is one of the best activities that take place in Mississauga each year. Whether you’re in Port Credit or Streetsville, it’s a great way to wind-down after a week at work and hear some good live music. The Series usually kicks-off in mid to late July every year, but we’ll keep you updated on when it’s set to begin. If you’re a local musician, throw your hat in the ring and see if you can be part of the Series, if you’re not a musician, then get ready for another summer of great bands playing in your back yard for free!
