Mississauga is home to many a business, but did you know that it’s also home to Canada’s Favourite Music Store? Well, that’s exactly what you can find at 230 Lakeshore Road East.

L.A. Music is an incredible store just outside of Port Credit, that has been a part of the city for 40 years! The GTA has produced many a fine musician since the 1970’s, and a great many have passed through L.A. Music, whether it was to grab their first guitar, get a tune-up, or get the latest and greatest equipment. The store has stood the test of time thanks to high-quality equipment, great service, and unrivalled knowledge.

When the store originally opened, it was much smaller than it is now and only offered a couple hundred products, alongside music lessons. Today, the store offers over 100,000 products, making it the most comprehensives selection available in the country!

The award-winning store offers all types of musical instruments, from microphones to guitars, keyboards to drums, and beyond. You’ll find everything you need to be the next great Canadian band!

With it’s incredible array of products on sale, you may want to know what brand can be purchased at L.A. Music. Well, some of the brands available include Fender, Gibson, Marshall, ESP, Gretsch, EVH, and Digitech. There’s dozens of brands available at L.A. Music, so check out the official website for the full rundown.

The store offers some of the same guitars that iconic rockstar’s have used, like the Fender Precision Bass of Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), the Fender Stratocaster popularised by Jimi Hendrix, or the incredible Metallica Kill ‘Em All 30th Anniversary ESP, which you can see below.

There are hundreds of similarly amazing guitars available in store, and thousands available on the website. If however, you somehow don’t find the exact model you’re after, you can work with the staff at L.A. Music to create your own custom guitar!

Of course, a guitar is fairly pointless without the right equipment to go with it. As such, you’ll also need a case, a strap, a tuner, an amplifier, a pedal board, a metronome, a stand, extra cables, and some plectrums. And you’ll be able to get all of that and so much more at L.A. Music.

As mentioned, it’s not all about the guitars, L.A. Music also sells drums, keyboards, speakers, microphones, turntables, mixers, headphones, and even studio recording equipment. L.A. Music truly does offer everything you could ever need to make and record music. Here are some reviews of the store from Google, where real locals weigh-in:

Great selections of expensive and not so expensive guitars, amps and foot pedals. The staff is very friendly and they take their time showing and explaining things to you. They have a good range of equipment from high end to low end. The store is in need of a facelift though.

My first online guitar purchase. I was impressed with the help from the staff over the phone. Shipping was very fast and my guitar arrived with no damage and was double boxed. Thanks Sam! I will purchase again!

Highly Recommended. I ordered the Gibson Alex Lifeson R40 and the Gibson Alex Lifeson ES, might as well get both right…..I`m a Rush fanatic. I first saw Rush Live back in the day on the Permanent Waves Tour and I was hooked! Hard to find both of these guitars and L.A. Music had them both in stock. When I got them I could smell the fresh lacquer, nice…

I use to ride by this Music Store for years , one day i dropped in out of curiosity, it didn’t seem like much of a store but they have lots of inventory stashed away in the basement, all of the Brand Names you can think of they seem like fairly decent folks and the impression is to satisfy their customers, They’ve been in business for about 30+ years or so I believe, so if you go into the store ask for SAM tell him you read this review and he will take good care of you….they have done right by me so far.
