North America’s largest Japanese culture celebration is back in Mississauga and this year’s event is to be even more special than usual!
2018 actually marks the 90th anniversary of Canadian/Japanese diplomatic relations, and Celebration Square will be home to the biggest ever Japanese Festival in the America’s! So make sure you come to Celebration Square on August 25th and 26th for the huge event that lasts from 12-10 PM!
The Japan Festival at Celebration Square brings over 25 food and drink vendors, including Kinton Ramen, Uncle Tetsu’s Japanese Cheesecake, and Sapporo. If food is your passion, there will also be a Tokyo cooking competition that utilises all Japanese ingredients and cooking methods. The winner of the cooking competition will get a round-trip to Tokyo, along with meal tickets and more. The stakes are high for the cooking competition, so be sure you join the fun!
If cooking isn’t your thing, there will be around two dozen shopping vendors, including The Little Gift Boutique, Cheese Garden, Inferno Cat Toys, and Voss Bikini. So if you’re looking for some unique Japanese apparel, technology, kitchenware, or even some cat toys, you’ll find it all at Celebration Square.
Of course, no festival would be complete without live music and entertainment. There will be up to 17 live performers at Celebration Square on August 25th, including Japanese pop artists, jazz music, Aikido demonstrations, and dance troupes. There will be no shortage of amazing entertainment on the main stage!
The 2018 Japan Festival promises to be the biggest and best yet!
